Zurich, 18 January 2012 – The 1C Industries Zug AG further expands its company portfolio. Today, the company has successfully completed the acquisition of a majority stake in the CIEFFE Holding SPA, a group of companies based in Veneto, Italy, which specializes in heat treatment.
 

The CIEFFE Holding SPA was founded in 1984 and is one of the leading groups of companies in the production of heat-treatment furnaces and applications for the automobile, railway, medical and energy industry. The roup employs 125 people and in 2011 reported revenues of CHF 36mn. Arcangelo Pessot will maintain his position as CEO of the CIEFFE Holding SPA. Thus, there will be no changes for clients and staff in connection with the change in ownership. Backed by the economic power of the 1C Industries Zug AG, the group will be further developed in a stable manner and the trust of clients, employees and suppliers will be strengthened. Both parties have agreed on non-disclosure about the acquisition price.
 

1C Industries Zug AG’s surface technology division includes hardening plants as well as high tech thin film coating centers of the latest generation. In Europe, Asia and the USA the company produces high-grade products for niche markets in the automobile, aviation, medical, oil, process and the manufacturing industries. From today Cieffe Holding SpA of Colle Umberto is joined by 1 C Industries AG, Zug, Swiss industrial group of more than 200 million turnover.
Cieffe Holding, a manufacturer of furnaces for heat treatment, check Cieffe Industrial Furnaces Srl with the role of engineering, FIBEX Srl Cieffe productive role as well as Shanghai. The 2008 turnover was 53 million, dropped to 20 in 2009 and 2010, increased (estimate) to 30 million by the end of the year at the end of March 2012.

Cieffe Forni Industriali in this last period has tended to direct supply of final customers, bypassing the contractors: the technology of this company is cutting edge, we hope to regain the position of Italian leader and fifth largest producer in the world thanks to the amount of our orders.
The employment levels in Italy were confirmed (125 employees), but the strategic goal is to open manufacturing plants in U.S., Brazil and India, in addition to strengthening of Shanghai plant and the opening of a sales office in Germany
